“75th Anniversary of the Virginia State Parks”

A system of 35 award-winning parks spread throughout the Commonwealth, perhaps no other entity so thoroughly captures the essence of Virginia. "75th Anniversary of the Virginia State Parks" takes a look at Virginia's treasures.
In this one-hour documentary, explore the natural and cultural history of Virginia State Parks and the recreation they've offered to visitors for 75 years. The program examines the history of the parks and how Virginia became the first state to open an entire state park system on the same day, and looks at how the system has grown through the years, including a tour of all 35 parks as they stand today. No matter where you are in Virginia, you're near a state park - with over 500 miles of trails, beaches and campgrounds. Journey through America's best managed and preserved park system... 75 years and still growing!

Will this be rebroadcast or available online for those of us who couldn't watch Wed. night?
In addition to the re-broadcast that Marshall mentioned, the Virginia State Parks program will air again on WCVE at 1 pm and on WCVW at 5 pm this Sunday (June 19th).

Hello Cathy,
This program was a direct offering from Blue Ridge PBS out of Roanoke. I don't think they are offering it for online viewing at this time. We will however, rebroadcast this as part of our pledge programming line up in August.
Thanks for watching. – Marshall Lloyd, Webmaster
