The Amazing Raise: A Success For Area Non-Profits

Amazing Raise

Thank you to everyone who participated in The Amazing Raise! Our community’s philanthropic spirit was on display as more than 15,000 donors donated more than $1 million to support 472 non-profit organizations in our community. The Community Idea Stations was proud to participate in this community-wide fundraising effort. Our mission is to use the power of media to educate, entertain and inspire. The Amazing Raise was an opportunity to inspire listeners to support us and hundreds of other worthy organizations that are also striving to make our community a better place to live and work.

Thanks to the support of 856 donors during The Amazing Raise, the Community Idea Stations was able to earn the top place prize of $20,000 from The Community Foundation.

Prior to The Amazing Raise, we began our WCVE Public Radio Fall Membership Campaign with a pre-pledge event. Because of these two events taking place back-to-back, we have achieved our best start ever for a WCVE Public Radio membership campaign! Our goal is to hear from 3,000 new and renewing members and as of noon on Friday, September 21, we are already up to 1256! If we can keep up the momentum, we will end our campaign successfully and in record time!

If you haven’t made your pledge yet, click here or call 1.800.476.8440 to make your pledge now. And, thank you so much for your support!

I recently donated $125 each to WCVE and WCVETV, and I haven't received any kind of acknowledgement by mail. Has my donation gone astray?

Yesterday on "Performance Today" Fred Child interviewed Murrary Pariaha, who then played a Chopin etude so beautiful it made me want to donate another $100, but I was unable to get through on the phone. Will try again soon.

Finally, please tell Wayne Farrar, to whom I listen every single day, that I very much appreciate his work. Also tell him the accent is on the FIRST syllale of the word resouce, and that the 2nd syllable has a c, not a z.

Thanks!
