By Popular Demand: Where YOU Choose The Programs

It’s time to vote for the show you want to watch! Will it be Rock Prophecies - the examination of the life of rock 'n' roll photographer Robert Knight - or Smokin’ Fish - the story of Tlingit businessman Cory Mann, who takes a break from his modern life as a businessman to smoke fish at his family's traditional fish camp?

This month your selections include two programs about two very different men and their disparate lives and livelihoods. First, Rock Prophecies focuses on the story of rock 'n' roll photographer Robert M. Knight, who says, “I think I kinda collect rock stars.” How does he find up-and-coming rock stars - and how does he help them reach the limelight?

Our second pick is Smokin’ Fish about Tlingit businessman Cory Mann, who says of himself, “I didn’t want to be Indian.” Yet he begins to yearn for smoked fish and decides to take a break from his business to smoke salmon at his family's traditional fish camp - and to reconcile his modern life with his ancient culture.

Which one will you pick? The show receiving the most votes will be aired November 24th at 10:00 p.m. on WCVE PBS and WHTJ PBS – By Popular Demand.

The best thing about NPR is the serendipity of its programs. Both will be good, and I am sure I would learn something of value from either. But if I must vote, I go with Cory Mann.

I think you are right - both programs will be interesting, in different ways. Remember to vote - and tell your friends to vote!
