Elvis: Aloha from Hawaii
Elvis Presley made television and entertainment history with his Elvis, Aloha from Hawaii concert television special. In all, it was seen in about 40 countries by over 1 billion people. Entertainment events presented live via satellite are common today but, in 1973, this was a first. Aloha from Hawaii presents Elvis Presley at the pinnacle of his superstardom, giving one of the most memorable concert performances of his career. check listings for times.
Celebrating North America's Steam Railway
Steam trains provided raw power to blaze new trails and build the U.S. and Canada. From the frozen tundra of Alaska to the vast high desert of Arizona, the rolling hills of New Hampshire to the Black Hills of South Dakota and through the prairies and mountains of Canada, this program explores the impact that the steam engine had in building our world. We also visit Steamtown National Historic Site and get a first hand lesson on how a steam engine works and why millions of people each year are drawn to seek them out and ride them. check listings for times.
