Visit the Science Matters Booth on Saturday and Celebrate Earth Day

Richmond Earth Day Festival

Visit the Science Matters' booth this Saturday from noon to 5:00 p.m. during Richmond Earth Day Festival! Stop by the children’s area in Diversity Park near the Floodwall and Hull Street for fun activities, and enter to win a backpack filled with goodies from Science Matters and the Community Idea Stations.

The Richmond Earth Day Festival is an outdoor street fest providing education and resources that will help Richmonders incorporate eco-friendly practices into their daily lives, making the city a greener place to live. The festival attracts over 6,000 people of all ages and has something for everyone: local produce from farmers markets, kids art and activities centered around Richmond's unique eco-system and river wildlife, local food, live music, and your favorite golden beverages and crushed grapes. There's also a 5K race, a flood wall climb with zip line, and an outdoor gear swap. The Festival is located in the Mancester District at 220 Hull Street. Great thing that there is an earth day to honor nature in our own home planet. I hope I can visit the Richmond Earth Day Festival next year and learn ideas to incorporate for a greener ecosystem.
