Bobbie, if it's something we can't talk about without getting choked up, can we send it to you via email in text? (Or am I way too late already?)
Hi Hal,
The idea is to get recorded voices as they might be integrated into the broadcast itself. You're welcome to send me your story and I'll forward it on to ACE but I know that what they're looking for is the recorded voice. Please let me know if I can help you with this in mind.
Thanks,
Bobbie
I see the photo as capturing a sense of freedom as well as humor and surprises in store for ACE's audiences.
For me, music is ALWAYS about creating positive energy. Without the quick beat of ska, zydeco, juju, Texas Swing, conjunto, etc., I could not walk my usual 4-5 hours a week. That upbeat music has definitely improved my endurance, walking speed and commitment to my exercise goals.
I don't know if it was a life changing momment in the sense of classical music, but at age 15 I discovered that Johnny Mathews' song "Chances Are" played while dancing with a real girl could significantly improve things in the romance department. Seriously, hearing the William Tell Overture in the ninth grade got me into learning how to play the trumpet and I ended up having my own combo and was become first tumpet in the all-state orchestry and all-state band. My love for music still endures 50 years later. Thanks. Marshall Orr
Hi Marshall,
I think those are both great stories. Have you called ACE to share your stories. I hope that you will.
Bobbie
