WHTJ is Charlottesville’s hometown PBS station with offices and studio located on the historic Downtown Mall directly across from the First Amendment Monument. Our call letters WHTJ stand for the “Home of Thomas Jefferson.” We are one of Virginia’s Community Idea Stations, and we serve Charlottesville and the surrounding counties with programs and outreach services that strengthen the community, empower families and inform citizens.
