Sandy Berger

Sandy Berger served as national security advisor to President Clinton. In that capacity, he was pivotal in shaping American’s role in a new global era—from building U.S. relations with China to managing the crisis in the Balkans, from dealing with the Asian financial crisis to driving critical peace negotiations. Mr. Berger also served as deputy national security advisor during President Clinton’s first term and as deputy director of the State Department’s policy planning staff from 1977-1980. He is the founder and chairman of Stonebridge International LCC, a Washington-based global strategy firm.
