Lieutenant Colonel Dale Davis

Lieutenant Colonel Dale Davis currently serves as the director of International Programs and lecturer of Arabic Language at Virginia Military Institute.  After graduating from VMI in 1982, he was commissioned an officer of Marines.  Originally, he served in Yuma, AZ, and went on to serve in Okinawa, Japan; the Persian Gulf and Guam.  After completion of language training in Arabic and Persian he was assigned to Counterintelligence Branch, Headquarters USMC.  As a counterintelligence officer he served in a number of positions in the Middle East and North Africa.  Fluent in Arabic, Persian and French, Davis has authored numerous articles on security issues in the Middle East and North Africa as well as being a regular commentator for TV, radio and print media.
