Marc Leepson

Marc Leepson is the author of Saving Monticello: The Levy Family’s Epic Quest to Rescue the House that Jefferson Built and is a full-time free-lance writer.  A former staff writer for Congressional Quarterly in Washington, D.C., Leepson has written for many newspapers and magazines, including Preservation, Smithsonian, the Washington Post, New York Times, New York Times Book Review and Christian Science Monitor. He also has been a long-time contributor to the Encyclopedia Americana Yearbook and since March of 1986, he has been arts editor and columnist for The VVA Veteran, the newspaper published by Vietnam Veterans of America.  In addition to Saving Monticello, he is the author of three other books, including the Webster’s New World Dictionary of the Vietnam War (Macmillan).
