Gaddis Smith

Historian Gaddis Smith is a specialist in international relations and the author of numerous books on American diplomacy, including The Last Years of the Monroe Doctrine, American Diplomacy during the Second World War, and Morality, Reason, and Power: American Diplomacy in the Carter Years.  Smith spent nearly half a century at Yale University and was hand-picked to examine and document the university’s history as it marked its 300th anniversary.
