Dominion Virginia Power told the NRC yesterday, after hundreds of tests and inspections, there was no damage to safety-related equipment following the Earthquake at the North Anna Nuclear Power Station last month. But as Charles Fishburne reports, they still have to convince the NRC the plant is safe to restart.

House Majority Leader Eric Cantor is on the defensive. The Virginia Republican says now politics will not be a factor in approving federal disaster aid for the Commonwealth or anywhere else struggling to recover from an earthquake and Hurricane Irene. 13 people were hurt early yesterday when a van hit the rear end of a Greyhound Bus on I-85 a half mile north of Route 1 in Dinwiddie.
