Driving instructions to the Community Idea Stations

From Powhatan

Route 60 to traffic light at intersection with Courthouse Road.
Turn left onto Huguenot Road (Chesterfield Towne Center)
Take Huguenot Road to 4th traffic light (Robious Road) (at Blockbuster Video get in right turn lane onto Robious Road at the railroad tracks)
Go 1/2 mile to "Old Farm Road"
Turn right onto Old Farm Road; go to Stop sign; turn right, then a quick left onto Sesame Street (our driveway)
WCVE studios are in the tan building at the base of the TV tower. return to top

From the South

Route I-95 North from Petersburg/Colonial Heights
Exit #62 - Route 288 North to Chesterfield
Follow Route 288 to Courthouse Road exit
Turn right at the light onto Courthouse Road northbound
Follow Courthouse Road to Route U.S. 60 - Midlothian Turnpike
Cross Midlothian Turnpike, go approximately one mile to 4th traffic light (Robious Road.)
Turn right onto Robious Road
Approximately 1/4 mile on Robious Road is a traffic signal at Cranbeck Road. The next right turn after the light is Old Farm Road. Watch for sign: “Public Broadcasting Station.”
Turn right on Old Farm Road
At the stop sign turn right, then turn left on Sesame St. WCVE studios are in the tan building at the base of the TV towers. return to top

From the West End: (Huguenot via Three Chopt & River Road/Cary St. Road)

Cross Huguenot Bridge; go to seventh traffic light (Robious Road). There is a railroad crossing at this intersection.
Turn left on Robious Road (at the railroad crossing)
Go 1/2 mile to Old Farm Road.
Turn right onto Old Farm Road; go to Stop sign; turn right, then a quick left onto Sesame Street (our driveway)

From the West (Charlottesville)

I-64 East to Richmond
Exit - Route 288 southbound
Go 7 miles on Route 288. You will cross the James River
1st exit after the James River bridge is Robious Road/Huguenot Trail (Route 711)
Turn left at the traffic signal onto Robious Road eastbound (Route 711)
Drive 5.4 miles to the traffic signal at the intersection with Huguenot Road (Route 147.)
Cross Huguenot Road, go 1/2 mile to Old Farm Road. Watch for sign: “Public Broadcasting Station”
Turn right onto Old Farm Road; go to STOP sign; turn right, then a quick left onto Sesame Street (our driveway)

From Downtown Richmond

Follow Powhite Parkway to U.S. 60 - Midlothian Turnpike
Exit on U.S. 60 WEST (toward Midlothian)
Exactly 1 mile on U.S. 60 (5th traffic light), turn right on Robious Road.
Approximately 1.3 miles on Robious Road is a traffic light at the entrance to Huguenot Park on the left. The next left turn after the light is Old Farm Road
Turn left on Old Farm Road
At the stop sign turn right, then turn left on Sesame St. WCVE studios are in the tan building at the base of the TV towers. return to top

From the North

Route I-95 south from Washington/Fredericksburg toward Richmond.
Exit 79 (I-195; Powhite Parkway)
Immediately after exiting, take left fork (I-195; Powhite Parkway)
Stay on this road. Follow signs for Powhite Parkway only. (There is a .50 toll after the James River Bridge.)
Exit at Route 60 - Midlothian Turnpike (pay .25 toll)
After leaving toll booth, take first right. (Route 60 W - Midlothian)
Go to 5th traffic signal (1 mile)
Turn right on Robious Road.
Approximately 1.3 miles on Robious Road is a traffic light at the entrance to Huguenot Park on the left. The next left turn after the light is Old Farm Road
Turn left on Old Farm Road
At the stop sign turn right, then turn left on Sesame St. WCVE studios are in the tan building at the base of the TV towers. return to top

From the East (Norfolk, RIC Airport)

I-64 West into Richmond
Exit to I-95 South (toward Petersburg) (left lane exit)
Exit 74A - Downtown Expressway (Route 195)
Follow Downtown Expressway through Richmond and exit left to the Powhite Parkway (both are toll roads).
Follow Powhite Parkway to Route U.S. 60 (Midlothian Turnpike)
Exit to U.S. 60 West (toward Midlothian)
After leaving toll booth, take first right. (Route 60 W - Midlothian)
Go to 5th traffic signal (1 mile)
Turn right on Robious Road.
