Yacht Company Fire

When fire struck the Northern Neck’s Tiffany Yacht Company this week, the damage was extensive – and very expensive for a blaze of its size.

When the fire broke in the 12,000 square foot metal building on the banks of the Great Wicomico River there were three yachts inside.  One, a thirty-eight footer, was under construction and the company had hoped to sell it for $700,000.  Two other expensive yachts, another 38-footer and a 46-foot craft, were also in the building undergoing repairs.  All three were destroyed in the fast-moving fire that totally consumed the building and threatened nearby structures before being brought under control.   No one was injured but twelve employees are now out of work until the building can be rebuilt.
