DC is in direct competition with Virginia, and Governor McDonnell has sent legislation to both houses to boost development dollars that could be used for that purpose.
In a non-related, or possibly related issue, the state is also negotiating with the company over a current, 10-year, multi-billion dollar contract with deadline and performance issues, which, nonetheless, the company wants another 37 million per year to complete.
The contract squabble could be wrapped up by the end of the month, about the same time, the company says, it will have a final site decision.
