Body Found at Hopewell Marina

Hopewell Police are asking the public for any information about a body found at the Hopewell Marina Tuesday night.

Police were called just before eight to the slip area of the marina.  The body was recovered from the water by 9:30 and sent to the State Medical Examiner in Richmond for cause of death and identification.  Police Chief Steve Martin said that investigators believe it is the body of a male.  It is not clear if the individual was the victim of a homicide, but the Chief said that until they’re sure this is being treated as a murder case.  Investigators spent yesterday gathering as much information as they could.
