Richmonder Held Without Bond After 130-mph Chase
A Richmond teenager faces multiple charges after police say she led them on a high-speed chase and intentionally slammed into three state police cruisers.
State Police say they were wrapping up a traffic stop at 295 southbound, just north of the 64 interchange in Henrico, when a 2002 BMW swept by, refused to move over as required by law and they began a pursuit.
Molnar: The driver of the BMW continued to flee from the trooper onto Interstate 64.
State Police Sargeant Tom Molnar said the trooper was joined by two other troopers and the chase continued and the three of them attempted to box her in.
Molnar: The suspect in this case appears intentionally struck all three of the troopers' vehicles during the course of this pursuit.
Are we doing this at a hundred miles an hour?
Molnar: Do not have the speed, but during the course of the pursuit, the suspect's vehicle was fleeing from the troopers at 130 miles an hour.
The suspects crashed into a field and ran, but were apprehended. 18-year old Reashell Long of Richmond, the driver, and 22-year old Jonathon Feldman face multiple charges and are being held without bond. Nobody was seriously hurt.
