One dead, another under arrest and charged with murder in Henrico
One man is dead and another charged with murder following a two-hour police standoff in Henrico County early yesterday morning.
Police say a child called them to say a man had entered his home at the Cardinal Forest Apartments off Shrader Road, and shot another man and the suspect was still in the house.
Owens: It was determined early that there were five individuals in the apartment: the victim, the suspect, a woman and her two children, ages 12 and 8.

Owens: After approximately two hours, the woman advised negotiators that the suspect was unconscious and that she, along with the children, was coming out. Henrico Police SWAT team members escorted the family to a waiting ambulance. The woman suffered from a non-life-threatening assault. The suspect was located in a back bathroom, unconscious due to an undetermined medical condition.
33-year old Antonio B. Farris was hospitalized, released and charged with first-degree murder and felony firearm use. The victim was identified as 24-year old Ryan Chhuom of Chesterfield County. Police say the motive is under investigation.
