IRS to Release $115 Million in Medicaid Fraud Settlement to Virginia

Yesterday morning, Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli held a press conference to highlight an eight-month delay by the IRS to deliver Virginia’s share of a $1.5 billion Medicaid fraud settlement. Early yesterday evening, federal officials announced it would pay $115 million of the $125 million Cuccinelli says the state is owed.
