Pamela D'Angelo has an extensive background in journalism, including experience as a foreign correspondent in Kenya for The Dallas Morning News and The Washington Times and as Washington Desk Editor for United Press International. Pamela also has had writing and editing assignments for The Washington Post and other publications, as well as international press and environmental reporting fellowships in Africa. Pamela has a journalism degree from American University and teaches a journalism course at The University of Richmond.

During the last three years, law enforcement officials on Virginia waters have seen only a slight increase in arrests for boating under the influence and reckless boating. Baby Peregrine Falcons Relocated From Northern Neck Bridge

Relocation of baby peregrine falcons on a bridge in the Northern Neck has become an annual event.
Yesterday scientists from William and Mary’s Center for Conservation Biology relocated two more, making a total of 28 birds in the last 11 years. WCVE Correspondent Pamela D’Angelo reports.

Earlier this month, three high-profile boating accidents were in the headlines for the number of people involved and their tragic circumstances. Virginia law enforcement officials will be out in full force this week to educate the public.

Search Still On for Missing Boating Accident Victim

Police are continuing to search for the remaining victim of a boating accident on the James River last Friday. Another man died after spending hours with eight others in the water after their small sailboat capsized near the mouth of the Pagan River. WCVE News Correspondent Pamela D'Angelo reports.

Richmond Firefighter Sentenced to Four Years in Deadly Boating Crash

A 39-year-old Richmond firefighter who plowed his boat into a 15 foot channel marker in the Rappahannock River last summer killing one passenger and injuring eight others was sentenced to four years by a Lancaster County Circuit Court Judge yesterday.
