WCVE Public Radio has received official notification from the organizers of the First Annual Page Wilson Memorial Concert that the event will take place on Sunday, May 8, 2:00-9:00 PM downstairs at the Canal Club in Richmond.  Doors will open at 1:00 PM and there is a suggested donation of $15 to benefit Virginia Blue, Page's daughter, and her college fund and Positive Vibe Cafe.  Everyone is welcome.

The list is growing but so far bands signed up for the concert include Janet Martin, Susan Greenbaum, The Taters, Terry Garland and His Small Band, the Reckless Abandon Boys and Lil Ronnie and the Grand Dukes.  More information as it becomes available to us.

This Saturday, March 26th at 8:00 PM, Page Wilson's WCVE Public Radio producers LuAnn Jones, Dan Rosenthal and Kevin Wiese, Page's music director Scott Fraley, Out of the Blue staffers Joe Sokohl and Kevin McGranahan, and Richmond area musicians Jimmy Bland, Susan Greenbaum, Janet Martin, Terry Garland and   Reckless Abandon will present a live program sharing music and memories of Page.  This promises to be a program not to be missed.

I know there was an address announced during the tribute show to send donations for Virginia's college fund. Can anyone post that here?

If you would like to be added to the email list for updates and announcements about the Memorial Concert, email me at terrygblues@verizon.net.

It's going to be a fantastic event! I know that Page is smiling down on us. I can hear him saying, "Jo, why don't we do this?" and "Jo, did you call so and so?". Yes,Page.
