New Releases Highlight March's Departure

Pursuit of Radical Rhapsody

As an official prelude to celebrating International Guitar Month on WCVE Public Radio, a number of new releases will greet listeners ears.  Fans of Al Di Meola will enjoy electric and acoustic tracks from his latest Pursuit of Radical Rhapsody.  From a Beatle's classic to Al D's Full Frontal Contrapuntal, you won't be strung along. On the other end of the spectrum there are beautiful acoustic keyboard tracks from indie artist Alexandra Day's Untangle.  If you enjoyed the late Laura Nyro's songs from a generation ago you'll appeciate the instrospective, passion and intelligence of Day.  She will also be gigging in Virginia the next week.  A bit closer to home, Richmond's unique Venus Throw – file under Roman trivia for this one.  And file under totally ecelctic, the indie troubador Steve Krause and bands Avedis to Jim Guttmann.

The newness of our sets are cemented together by progressive outings from One Alternative and Mr. Big.

The Electric Croude airs every late Saturday at midnight EDT on WCVE Public Radio and simul streams on ideastations.org/radio.
