Put on Your Epic Face

This is the time of the year when I especially enjoy epic adventures...both sonic and cinematic. That quickly brings us round to this Saturday night's show. While epic usually denotes "length of time"--thats only one dimension. The sublime talent of Rachel Bissex was cut way too short with breast cancer. Yet I define her musical career clearly in the realm of epic when you hear her December Moon which opens the show.
In a different kind of journey....you'll hear how cinema meets its sonic equivalent with a combined fictional journey from Middle Earth to Xanadu with Rush, a Gentle Giant, Richard White, and the Dutch prog rock group Epica thrown in for good measure.
From fiction to different kinds of reality we then travel timewise with The Electric Croude Band & Loreena McKennitt in separate adventures--but both seasonally related.
Our sojurn winds up in pensive fashion with the first return to the studio in 24 years when this was released....The Who with a pensive and wistful acoustic song describing their decades together as only Townsend could write and Daltry could sing.
The nights are getting longer....the air chills and beckons with a hand to present stories. Against this canvas of imagination an hour to appeal to your primal, intellectual and emotional longings in this first week of Twelfth Month.
The Electric Croude airs late Saturday at midnight EST on WCVE Public Radio.

The piece of music I'm inquiring about was on The Electric Croude on Sun. Nov. 20th. It was the very first piece you played on that show. As I mentioned, it was also played as part of that show's promo. I wasn't able to catch the title, but it was pure synthesizer (no lyrics). It was a very rich and stunningly beautiful piece, with long drawn out synthesizer cords. It had a very New Age sound to it.
I would be most grateful if you can let me know the title and artist of this piece.

I would really like to know the name and artist of the first electronic piece you played on your Nov. 20th broadcast. It was one of the most beautiful and ethereal pieces of music I've ever heard. It was an electronic instrumental with a hint of Middle Eastern elements. Very sublime. I believe it was also included in the promo for that week's program. If anyone has this information I would very must like to know it.
