Time for the Blues - "Unusual Suspects" - Sun, 01/15/2012

Note the mispelling of "CHARLEY Musselwhite" on the Stand Back! album cover. Way to go proofing your LP Vanguard!

Cyndi's first band, Blue Angel only released this one album--highly recommended by us.

The song "The Blues" by Python Lee Jackson (when Rod Stewart was their rent-a-singer) is actually "How Blue Can You Get", the Leonard Feather tune that B.B. King is mostly known for. The song "Rock My Plimsoul" from the Jeff Beck Group (with Rod as lead vocal) is actually the old blues traditional "Rock Me Baby". This song and "Blues Deluxe" were credited to "Jeffrey Rod"--maybe that means Rod & Jeff?
