I am a faithful viewer of Antiques Roadshow & collector of old oil lamps (1,184). It would be a dream come true to be recipient of the "Golden Ticket." I shall have high hopes until winner is announced. I only live 1 and 1/2 hrs. from Richmond. So far I have been unable to find the website for application, but will keep trying.

We won the lottery and have two tickets for August 17, but our friend -- the guy with the really nice/rare antiques -- was not so lucky. Looking for one more ticket. Call Bob at 804-418-6277.
Hi Bob-
First - congratulations on winning a ticket! We had a LOT of entries in the lottery so scoring a pair of tickets was really lucky.
Second - we will have a small number of tickets available for purchase in the first week of June - look for an announcement via email (if you're on our email list) or on social media (WCVE on Facebook or twitter) or here on our website.
Finally - we will have a limited number of tickets available for people willing to volunteer on August 17th - these volunteers will need to be able to stand/walk for close to 12 hours.
Hope one of these opportunities will workf or your friend!

If you want a chance for an appraisal, make sure you register at http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/roadshow/tickets.html by April 8 to enter the ticket lottery. The Antiques Roadshow team will pick 3000 people at random from all the people who enter the lotter to receive 2 tickets each. The tickets give you admission to the event AND each ticket allows the holder to get up to 2 items appraised. Good luck!
If you want to have the paintings assessed outside of the Roadshow event, you can contact Lex Reeves aarrffaa@aol.com - who specializes in old paintings.

hi Sherry -
If you want tickets to the Antiques Roadshow event (and to have your item reviewed), you will need to sign up for the ticket lottery directly with PBS. You can enter the ticket lottery to have the picture reviewed at the August Antiques Roadshow event here: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/roadshow/
If you can't participate in the Roadshow event in August, there are a few dealers in this area that may be able to help you assess your picture. Some were featured in our Virginia Valuables show (see article here: http://ideastations.org/articles/virginia-valuables-where-antiques-roads...)
The appraisers who participated in our local show are: Jay Gates, III, Christine Corbin, Lex Reeves, and Mark Palmgren - I'm guessing that one of them may be able to help you assess your picture.
Hope this information is helpful.
Ami

Will there be volunteer opportunities when the Antiques Roadshow comes to Richmond? If so, how will they be advertised? What types of jobs will be needed? And how may folks apply? Thanks for your response
Hello Don,
Representatives from Antiques Roadshow will be meeting with us sometime in February. After we work out all the details from that meeting, we will be able to answer questions like these. Stay tuned for further announcements. Thanks.
Hello. I understand that some cities hosting the Antiques Roadshow hold a party with some of the appraisers the night before. Will Richmond be hosting such a party?
Hi Pamela - we'll know more details about the event - including whether we will have some sorty of party with the appraisers - shortly, and we will publish the details online. Stay tuned.

Hi Kim,
Has it been determined if there will be a meet and greet the evening before the taping?
Hi Pamela -
We will have a meet and greet fundraiser the night before the Roadshow event at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts where people will be able to meet and interact with the Mark Walberg and other people from the show - those tickets will be made available to the public by June 1st and will be offered at $250 per ticket. (The tickets will include admission to the Roadshow event and appraisal, as well as the meet and greet).
If you entered the ticket lottery, you'll receive an email invite from us for the meet and greet in June.
