The EdTech 2011 conference at Randolph-Macon College was another successful event.  Even the weather cooperated on February 2 and 3!  The figures have been tabulated for this 24th annual event promoting educational technology.  There were over 430 attendees and 100 presenters participating in a wide variety of two hour workshops and 50 minute sessions.  In addition, over 15 vendors set up information booths with the latest in technology tools and classroom resources for educators to examine and peruse.

Special features this year included a special technology strand for administrators on Wednesday and Scratch for educators on Thursday.  SMART strands were presented both days.

The two keynote speakers were outstanding.  Chris O'Neal, educational consultant in instructional technology and leadership, spoke on the first day and Dr. Glen Bull, Professor of Instructional Technology at University of Virginia's Curry School of Education, spoke on the second.

Congratulations go out to our door prize winners who received very generous gifts from the Community Idea Stations and our vendors:

Catina C. from Dinwiddie County

Johna V. from Petersburg

Shelly B. from Hanover County

Stacy D. from Charles City County

Wendy E. from Hanover County

EdTech 2011 may be just a fond memory now but 2012 is just around the corner!  Who knows what technology resources are in store for the 25th year?
