Eat Smart for a Great Start
It is almost time for the children to head back to the classroom. That means now is the time to Eat Smart for a Great Start. A healthy child is one who is ready to learn! The early years are the time when children begin to develop habits relating to eating and health. Such habits affect them thoughout their lives.
Studies have shown that poor nutrition can negatively impact children’s academic performance. To help start the school year off right, PBS KIDS has developed online content and partnerships to provide kids and parents with resources that support healthy eating. Ready to get started? Visit ideastations.org/eatsmart for all the details.
And don’t forget! PBS KIDS will also be airing programs all month long that encourage kids to explore food, nutrition, health, exercise, sportsmanship and fair play. From Sesame Street to The Cat In The Hat Knows A Lot About That!, there’s something for every PBS KID.
