Anyone know where I can buy Virginia grown edamame/soybeans? I'm trying to eat 100% local, but I'm having trouble finding farms/farmers markets/farm-side stands/stores where they sell Virginia grown grains or legumes. I live in northern VA. Thanks!

Hi Amy. While I wasnt able on a quick search to find a farm stand in Nova for edamame, here are some resources to get you started:

1. The Virginia Grown program supports Virginia farms and has information about local farms and produce. While I did not find Nova edamame farms specifically listed on their website, they may be able to connect you with a local grower: http://www.vdacs.virginia.gov/vagrown/

2. Epic Gardens in a farm in Bon Air (near Richmond) that appears to sell edamame seeds by mail order - if you're interested in growing your own: http://epicgardens.com/Edamame__Virginia_Bred_and.html

I hope these resources are helpful.

Ami
